Was thinking of getting a 110 hi cap next year as it will be handyer than my disco for my bikes and logs etc but was on ebay last night and saw a 200 tdi disco pick up (£3500 ) which got me thinking

Ive searched on here and not come up with much as most conversions are bobtails which isnt what im after

First problem i can see is mines a 5 door so what would be the tidyest way of extending the sides so i can still put my seat back and secondly i could make the rear of the cab with some flat steel sheet and make it water tight but how strong would that be ?

My rear arches are rotten so i assume there will be rot else where so im thinking it would be less work and id get a bigger load bay if i were to remove all of the rear body and add a tub from a hi cap defender or similar as it has raised arches unlike the ebay car which used a transit dropside bed and the load bed seems very high for getting bikes in ,does anyone have any experience with this as far as will the arches line up with disco rear wheels and how will the curvy shape of the disco chassis affect bed hieght ?

Thanks in advance

Kind of but i was thinking a full truck cab so i could put a seperate tub on

second one looks like they have used the rear door but not sure how it would work without keeping the sides as mines a 5 door

Was looking to do it on a budget so a £1500 kit is out

Kinda like a tray back but with a proper body on the back

found a few pics online of home made backs to the cab and a few which used the rear door ,roof and side pillars which look tidy but none of the pics are in detail and not sure how it would work as the roofs hgher at the back

founs one of a td5 with what looks like a 130 hi cap tub on
