Disco 1 cat

Hi all i have what i believe is a Genuine Land Rover Discovery 300tdi Cat Catalytic Converter, Not sure if it has been on or not, (Don't look it)
I found it in my garage was my dads.

I know cat's are worth a fair bit so am open to any offers if wanted or ill just scrap it as i don't need it myself

It's not a CAT it's a Particulate filter tin't worth sod all..

I did think that but the tinter web told me it was a cat according to the part number not to worry back in the garage it goes lol unless any one wants a cheap particulate filter lol.

I have one like that in the garage, came wit the Disco I bought, its just a soot collector and has a metal plate inside with small holes in it.

well... currently £20 cus that's what you've been offered for it.

If you want more for it you need to go and find yourself a buyer who will offer you more for it

That depends on how much effort you put in.
Easy route - buyer collects
Potentially dealing with ******s - ebay it.
Getting off your backside - take it to a dealer(s)

The Bosal Diesel Particulate Filter is a high quality product, working according to the wall fl ow

cake layer on the channel walls.
The engine electronics continuously monitor the backpressure created by this soot cake and
once a certain level of backpressure is reached, the engine will start regeneration of the fi lter.
During this process, the soot particulates are burned in the fi lter into gaseous and harmless
carbon dioxide (CO2), after which the fi lter is cleaned and the forming of a new soot cake
begins once again.

All modern engines have catalytic converters, diesels also have a 'diesel particulate filter' because a cat does not filter soot from exhaust fumes.

As per the EXACT item in the pic, I have weighed TWO of these in now and received £62 for each.

Anyone who says they're worth fook all hasn't weighed them in themselves.

Modern diesels... Think it was made mandatory from 1993 (this may be for petrol engines only), but generally the location on a disco if one was fitted at manufacture would be part of the front exhaust section, these can be replaced with a decat pipe, usually ok on MOT emission tests
