peeps

I’m not sure how to fit the floor side panels at the front (pointy) end. On my strip down thread, I thought they went under the spot welds and would puddle weld it back in place, but I’m having trouble getting it to fit that way. I’ve bent the tabs in and still won’t fit. So I’m wondering if I have to cut away the spot weld bit on the old floor and seam weld it.
Anyone used these type panels before ??

I cut away the old metal to fit the side panels and went from there

I contacted the distributors, GDI products, and they told me that I had to cut away under the 'spot holes' and then weld across to new panel.

Every disco seems to be different, and also depends on how much metal has been cut out/removed when fitting the panels, as on mine both sides were different when it came to the front part. Just work with what you have in front of you and cut/weld accordingly is my rule
