Hi there,
I am trying to connect a tire pressure monitor to 12V DC and was meaning to use the wires going to the lighter plug as they are switch-activated. What would be the best way to access the back of the plug without damaging the panel?
Thx
Ady

Just run a relay feed from the fuse box, the Landy wiring is suss enough without owner input ...lol
This sounds more complicated + will it be activated by the ignition switch?
The little gadget only takes a bit of power so I don't think it will affect the lighter plug in any way.

From memory knobs and gaiters off then you’ll find some screws, others are inside the arm rest storage box.

I don't know whether there's a suitable power pick-up on the D1 fuse board behind the panel in the passenger compartment as there is on the D2, maybe @sierrafery can help with that, but it would be easier to pick up a power feed for what you want from there than pulling the entire centre console out, I'm sure.
If there isn't such a suitable power pick-up, have you thought of using a "piggy-back fuse holder" such as these:-

There's an ignition switch terminal that I expect is still vacant on you disco, it was used when the option of the car phone was added when new.
I now use that terminal to power my mobile phone kit and dash cam, but then you can pick up on the ignition switch main wire where it enters the fuse box, but also beware a there are a few ignition switched circuits going through the MFU.

I have a ready posted a photo where the phone connection is.

Thank you,
That sounds like a good option. I found the pics you posted. Are they from a D2 or D1?

Are we talking about the F13 /F12 sockets?

It's just a D1 photo, your one above is a D2 showing the yellow relays on the board.
Anyway the D1 connection is in a similar position two vertical terminals you require the top one. There a few bolts or bolt holes in the dash supports in that area for the ground connection.

Is that the location (pic attached)?
Can I use a regular spade connector?
Thanks!
