I recently purchased a Disco 1, 3.9l v8 Auto on a T
The vehicle is in pretty good condition, a few bits a bobs to work to set it up to be ready for adventures.
The major issue seems to be the auto gearbox. Some of the time it seems pretty smooth to shift, more often than not it seems to bang through the gears. It kinda feels like the car is booting you. I checked the oil level and it was low so I drained out the old stuff and refilled it. (It is booked in for a thorough drain and flush). Getting the level right doesn't seem to have really made much of a difference.
Has anyone had this issue or any ideas what the issue could be?
