Hey guys. Got a 2002 D2 td5. The turbo is chattering really badly. Taken the inlet off and there's a lot of play on the shaft. My question is can I disable the turbo to stop it spooling up until I can source a replacement. I need the truck for work and don't fancy the blades shattering and ending up in the engine. Thanks in advance

If your work involves using your D2 to transport coffins to funerals then yes. You will have the acceleration of a galapagos tortoise. Snails will overtake you on gentle hills. You will need to book an appointment to pull out of a junction...
No. I wouldn't recommend it - From experience of both a turbo hose coming off and later, a seized turbo.
