How do I disable the alarm completely on a discovery 2? We leave the windows part down the majority of the time and the wind must be setting off internal sensors and sounding the alarm. I would like to completely disable the alarm system so I can still lock the doors and have the windows down slightly. Not concerned about security of the vehicle.

I have a Hawkeye- is it completed through this or is it a case of following an algorithm of key turns and buttons being pressed/ held down?

Many thanks in advance,

James

Altho disabling the alarm has been discussed on here before.

Cheers

I've re-read that post again and again and i can reiterate that with hawkeye it should work as stated there by me cos since then i've done it at least 4 times more always with hawkeye cos it's more reliable with the BCU in this area ... the gist with hawkeye is that after you made any settings you must scroll through all the options untill the end of the program when hawkeye asks you if you want to change factory settings then confirm and follow the next step which iirc is to turn ignition off then on... simply changing the setting and exiting the menu has no effect with hawkeye cos everything will return to the previous status

Many thanks for your reply with your experiences of disabling the alarm system. Most helpful.

Kind regards,

James
