P38A Dilemma

Hi all, your help is needed yet again. I have purchased a 1999 2.5 dhse to replace my problem motor. I have now to decide whether to swap all the best bits of my old car on to the new one and scrap the old one or to sell the old one "as is" and buy what is needed for the new car ?

the old car is a good car , but the cost of replacing the engine is about the same as the newer car plus the newer car has only had 2 owners and much lower mileage

Given the old car can’t be worth more than a few hundred pounds I’d keep it for spares. you’ll save a fortune! Assuming the old was also a 2.5d?

I think young jedi, your answer is in plain sight. It all depends on what you call good or very good condition.
It's a tough decision and it's got to be your own.

You end up with full thing under there. Hard to pick. If you like newer interior but prefer your old beast, swap it over before you get rid.

If you sell the old one you will miss it
IMO you should use the new as you take time to do your old one

Leave the new car alone and keep the old one for spares. I have an old one I'm breaking for spares, it has a cracked head, it's been worth it's weight in gold.
