Anybody with advice on this "problem".
When I was in my local Nissan dealership recently the salesman who
sold me my X-Trail suggested changing it for a new one.
My current car is just coming up to 2 years old and I'm financing it
using Nissan's contract purchase deal.....3 year deal with option to
buy at the end of three years with a balloon payment.
Now strange as it might seem, the sales guy gave me a quotation for a
brand new one, exactly the same model (except it would of course be
the 2004 version with Dci engine) for £20 per month less than I'm
paying now.
I had intended to pay the outstanding "balloon" amount at the end of
the 3 year deal and keep the existing car for 100,000 miles plus.
What's in it for the dealership other than commission on a new car
and obviouly some kick back from Nissan Finance? Is it worth it for
me to change for such a relatively small saving?
Any comments or suggestions please.
