My 1999 Freelander 1 drives great when its cold, changes gear like a dream. But when outside temperature goes up, as we have had these last few weeks, it becomes very difficult to select gears. The clutch has to be right to the floorboards and its feels stiff when pushing or releasing it. When starting from standstill. I some times have to switch the engine off, select first and then start the engine. It is also sometimes difficult to get from reverse into neutral. Switch off and it drops out easily but then I have to put it into gear and switch on. It will go forever when its cold weather. Any suggestions ?
