Different Wheel Nuts

Hi,
Has anyone had any dealings with or know of where I can get the correct wheel nut to fit these wheels on a 1995 110. A 27 mm socket is too large to fit the hole on the wheels and standard wheel nuts are not the right fitment ie coned. Have seen other comments where people have said they have seen Defenders with these fitted but unable to find out where the nuts were obtained.
I've looked at the American websites but am unable to find correct size all seem to be M12 or M14 as does the majority of others websites.
Any help appreciated

Have looked at both and still no joy as far as I can see, so still in the same boat, might take a run to
A rover dealership and ask if nothing else info wise turns up.
 
I've got some on my desk, we are at NN10 0JT if you want to pop over and try one.
Although I know that wheel stud threads are different between D1 and Defender and D2/D3/D4/RRS/L322 etc

Thankyou for reply,, I believe that my wheel studs are M16 X 1.5 and I was unable to find any RRS or L322's
In a 16 (sounds girlie dress shopping) could only find them in M12 or 14 . The largest size socket that fits in the hole is 22mm but guess if they were longer nuts on the hex side I'd be ok with 27mm.
I have seen defenders with these fitted but just unable to find anyone.
I will keep looking but will definitely keep in mind you have some to try.. It's around a 50 min

Is that 22mm hex /socket.. which is good its just the thread and pitch as in M16 x 1.5 is what would fit my studs ,the ones I looked at for Range Rover were M14 x 1.5
So not sure . I asked local Landrover repair place and got the answer of I've never seen those before... and that's where he left the conversation. .. obviously wasn't interested in helping.
 
I guess why do you want these wheels? Is the first question. Plenty of other choices. And are you sure they are actually available with the correct PCD and centre bore for a Defender?

Second question. Are they alloy or steel? Standard steel wheels centre using the wheelnuts. While standard alloys are hubcentric. And hence use different wheelnuts.

I doubt p38 or D2 nuts will fit. I’m fairly sure they are a different pitch.

There are wheel PCD converters. Essentially a spacer that changes your PCD and centre bore size to that of a D2. However I don’t know what studs they then use. I would assume the same as a D2. But I don’t know for certain.
 
Yes there are lots of other choice of wheels out there but I personally haven't seen many with these and liked the look of them.
All holes match up and have managed to find some M15x1.5 with a 24mm hex, whilst I cannot actually fit a 24mm socket in the hole I'm going to try a 24mm Slim impact socket as it looks like there'd be just enough clearence.
I havn't ordered the nuts yet job for tomorrow , hopefully all going well it'll work out and be able to leave finding on here and maybe help anyone else out in the future should they have similar issues.
 
Just quick update.. have ordered the nuts.. will jack up and dry fit to check for clearance of steering etc... then get the socket sorted and give it a go.. failing that guess it'l be a look at spacers.
So no doubt be on the Internet looking for some that have a set of studs that fit the wheelse better size wise ie M14 instead of M16..
 
Be careful that those wheels are absolutely the correct PCD etc .. They look Japanese to me (blingy) and I know Daihatsu use a 5 nut centre on the Fourtrak, but they are M12 with 21mm hex (IIRC). Just a thought!
 
Know what you mean. They are American ... the wheel fits on fine.. just need to check that when the nuts arrive the centre is a snug fit .
