Differences between v8 clutch and 200tdi

Is there a major difference between a v8 clutch and a 200tdi clutch, reason for my question is I bought a new Borg & Beck clutch about two weeks ago for my 200tdi disco, Fitted the clutch without any trouble all seemed fine, bolted all up together ok bleed the clutch but had trouble getting the air out the system, drove the car but seemed like there might be a bit of air still in there, as clutch was not disengaging completely so got a mate round to have another go but when I went to the slave and asked him to just push the clutch pedal I noticed a squeak that appears to be coming from inside the bell housing and with the pressure held on the pedal it appears the slave is hard in against the lever and not able to move the lever any further. I cant think why this should be as the lever is new the slave is new and the master cylinder is new, could it be the clutch is wrong

v8 clutch is biigger,did you use stc8358,ive had a few poor clutches with poor covers that wont clear

does pedal feel good ?was release arm renewed or checked pivot wears through it ,slave has bleed nipple at top ,v8 clutch does look different

I renewed Clutch/ Clutch Lever/ Slave cylinder/ Master Cylinder. Pedal does not reach floor feels like it’s being held back and like it’s reached it’s full travel and can’t go any further

did you put friction plate right way round,release arm on bearing properly bearing can be hard to fit into fork

Yes made sure of friction plate and bearing was set into lugs ok

other than the travel of the pedal the clutch drive fine it's just not quite releasing enough to allow smooth gear change

Ok guys I change the slave cylinder around so that the nipple is at the top and bleed the system, but pedal is still not reaching the floor and seems to be pushing up against something and not giving me full release, could it be that the thrust bearing has come away from the lever and maybe twisted and is now sitting wrongly on against the lever lugs, has this ever happened

Engine out today nothing wrong with thrust bearing or lever, clutch however Borg & Beck, when tightened the back plate springs where the thrust bearing pushes on there is only about an inch gap between the back plate springs and the clutch plate.
