difference in td5 engines ??

I can't find any where if there is any difference in a td5 engine from a discovery or defender

I know a discovery changed round 2002 to the green top injectors and egr cooler did the defender change around the same time?

can I put a defender engine in my discovery (If i need to)

yes there is a difference i think its down to ECU set up and possibly engine mountings cant quite remember off the top of my head will remember later though

same motor just different bits. turbo, water hoses me thinks. Pull disco motor then just switch parts from defender

Yeah i expected to swop engine mounts etc, aslong as the head and block are the same and they produce the same power with the discovery ecu then that's all that matters really.
