Diff lock switch

After the rebuild, the difflock light on my 90 is not illuminating therefore I need to investigate. It has been quite a while since I replaced it and I totally forgot how to access it. Do I need to remove the centre seat or the driver's side floorpan?

Furthermore, how do i check whether it is the swtich that's at fault or something else?

center tunnel,remove switch and with wires connected ignition on press the switch,when refitting only wind ion as far as needed for it too work it can be wound in too far and the difflock no longer selects

Reiny, whilst you're at it, would be able to take a photo of where the switch goes please? I also have this problem and have a bunch of loose wires floating around near the transfer box.
