Diff lock not engaging

Hi all i have a 300 tdi and i can select hi/low range but when i put the diff lock in it wont stay, it was lovk the centre diff if i hold it over to the left but as soon as i let go in pings back out

it may need linkage adjusting, diff lock selector is moved by tensioning a spring if its not enough it wont go in ,there are other reasons but try that first

I recently had to put a washer behind my diff lock linkage on the side of the transfer box as over time everything got a little bit of wear washer cured it.
