This linkage has come out of the hole that it fits into on the transfer box. Was going to put a starlock washer/grab washer to secure back into place. Rather than ordering a box full anyone know the size/diameter of rod?

Appreciate that, but if i order the part, most places want £5 delivery for a small retaining clip that's less than the size of a 1pence coin. For that price i could get a dozen grab/starlock washers which will do the job.

If it fails again I carefully drilled mine with a 2.5 mm drill bit and fitted a split pin. Seems to be holding up find so far.

Cheers mark

I have a problem with the diff lock pin which you show here, neither the Hi Low selector or Diff lock lever would work, I removed the transmission cover and sure enough just stiffness in the linkage, freed up the Hi Low link OK.
Diff lock was strange but soon found the pin was tight in the hole, when I tried to free off the link using Mole grips the part shown in the first post, (diff lock link FRC8544) snapped.
Well no problem how much could it be for a bit of bent wire?
What a shock I am finding people want £32 to £36 (vat included) + £5 postage for this.
Anybody know a better place to get one or where I might find a second hand one?

By the way I agree with Mark about drilling the pin it is not a component which operates all the time and the function of this thing is quite simple, just need something to stop it jumping out of the hole, lubricate it and then operate it a couple of time every month just to keep it free.
