Hello, just jumped over from the Range Rover forum, change the bush on the rear axle of a Freelander, is it just a matter of undoing the bolts and pull out the old bush or as i am thinking a lot more involved than that, we have a very attractive female moved next door with a Freelander so say no more:D

durty boy............;)

So you think she may need attention to her bush and not the Freelander, have to get her on the ramp and check

Getting to her bush could be a bit fiddly...best done in dark so you can feel your way round but get it wrong and could end up in sh1t..

On serious note

Easiest way Ive found is to drop rear subframe ...not as drastic as it sounds ....
Jack motor and support under the standard sill jack points
Undo 4 off 18mm chassis mounting bolts by 3/4 inch each and you will see subframe drop

Remove 3 bolts holding bush and replace bush...

20 mins job depending how long you want to fondle bush for.

Thankyou Doubreydog, not as bad as i thought , good as i am doing the job for nothing unless my luck changes big time
