The silver one you are looking at is the same colour as the td5 i had. It's atually a good colour in the flesh. It doesn't show up small blemishes or streaks either. The car looks nice, slightly up on miles, but they cope well. I'd have that one any day!

cheers fella, if only the bloody dealer would reply to my email !

if it's still there when I get home I'll go look at it.

Had a reply for that Dark westminster blue (is that Oslo blue?) V8. He sounds a bit shirty that I went in at 7 grand for a 2003.

"gives neither fault or symptom of any such problem,it has been well serviced mainly by land rover, starts, runs and drives faultlessly, the rear two seats come out i believe,i haven't physically tried this but they look like they unclip at the base, the car has had 3 previous keepers, although we know the first was land rover (ex-demo) so a 2 owner vehicle in real terms,it has had just routine maintenance in its life, nothing else is documented"

and he has saif he wont go under 8 grand.

Basically its a 2 owner car with 78k miles. Looks in top nick but I recon the snow makes it look nicer. The 2002 seems pretty cheap at 7 grand as there are a few 2002s going for a bit more.

bloody hell! I kid you all NOT, the price on several of them has been put up by a grand and the average price has gone up accross the board.

Recon this is because of the weather?

I dare say the weather is keep prices high at the moment, but the dealer needs to remember it's a V8!
Did you go and look at this 2003 blue one in person?
If you are still interested, don't forget to give it a very long test drive, and get them to wash and dry it before you check it over. Check the vast array of electrics and gadgets. Make sure the air suspension goes up and down properly, and the sunroofs are not leaking.
That blue really does show up the marks as well, hence the need to wash before inspection.
I know it sounds picky, but 7500-8000 is a fair sum. Don't be afraid to crawl all over it, if he's a good dealer, he will understand.

Not seen it yet, I'm still overseas. Home tomorrow. WIll go look at the silver one on sat and there is a 2002 ES Premium on ebay for 6,500.

Premium doesn't have the electric seats or cruise control....anything else it's missing?

I am making it a point to see if they have tow bars as well. I want one with out as it should mean that it hasnt been hauling a horse box mall over the country.

I'm a sucker for posh seats but in the end I am buying it a a dog, fishing and gun wagon. It's not going to smell fresh after 6 months so whats the point :D

nik theres a premium just come up on ebat 65000,grey(i like)£6495 and according to the right up it has electric seats.so many to choose from

Yeh I emailed him already,

WHat else would it be missing? compared to the ES

Seats are leather and the interior looks in good nick.

I had a 2001 td5 es with all the extras in silver, it was nice to have electric heated seats etc. I must admit, i very rarely used them though and i now have a P reg 300tdi with no toys, it's a family/dogs mover so i don't need the complex gadgets. I bought a Jaguar xjr, after i sold my td5 so i could only afford a cheapie disco. Looking at these V8s is really starting to tempt me now though! Would have to be gas though, i couldn't live with two gas guzzlers!
