Probably been talked to death, but I remember reading that someone suggested putting the old girl in 2nd or 3rd and being towed by a sympathetic friend.

Does that really work? If so, how much bleeding do you need to do before starting the tow? (I've just given mine a birthday. All filters have been replaced (plus oils), so the system is pretty much dry).

Not looking forward to the bleeding.......but if towing will work, then I'll give it a go.

Cheers

If you crack the inlet pipe of the the fuel pump off and then pump fuel through using the lift pump or inline hand pump till it flows with out air bubbles, then tighten pipe again.

Crack off all the injector pipes and turn the engine over with the throttle full open. You can tighten them up one at a time when the air has gone. As you tighten them the engine will start to fire then buy the time you get to the last one it will prob be running.

hi all u need to do is crack off the bleed screw on to fuel filter pump the handpump get fuel to filter then open bleed screw on rotory pump then try starting if it dont fire crack open one injector pipe . make sure got a good battery!!

Yes you can just tow it up to bleed it and it will work just fine, its not too hard a job to do it properly but obviously a lot quicker to just tow it as it becomes a 30 second job.
