Maybe time for the parallel plug upgrade ?Found this on number 4 cylinder I hope bits of this aren't the cause of the knocking
if you cant get tappet setting right you may have worn roller cam followers, each tappet adjuster should have similar threads above the nut if one or more vary much theres an issue with push rod or followersThought it was yeah I know the one you mean I watched that. I'm definitely thinking it's a valve clearances as it's better now but I just can't seem to get them quite right. I think I'l have to go a smidge tighter to account for the wear on the rocker pads and my feeler gauge being a bit pitted. Hot spots wouldn't account for the diesel smelling smoke I don't think
because youve got an issue either your not setting it right or something else is causing the tapHow come mine rattles like buggery a 10 thou I know the rocker pads are pretty worn
