Does anyone know anything about adding 2 stroke oil to their diesel?

I don't think it can hurt much if you use low ash mineral type, and now they are taking the Sulfur out of diesel it might help those TD5 cam powered injectors, the TD5 is an old engine now and it was designed to run on what was available at the time it was made.
If you google it you will find all sorts but beware of what you find on the internet, some of it is pure BS.
Yes that's what I wanted to do, the Sulfur was put in as a lubricant at the time when TD5s were designed, now its gone, so now and again I add a bit of two stroke, those injectors get some hammer. All you are doing is adding lubricant can't see how it can clean anything.
Exactly how much do you add per tank?Yes that's what I wanted to do, the Sulfur was put in as a lubricant at the time when TD5s were designed, now its gone, so now and again I add a bit of two stroke, those injectors get some hammer.
For cleaning look to the Miller stuff Now I am convinced that makes the engine run a bit better.
I also notice a difference in power and MPG when I use the Shell premium diesel.

You say that about it not dissolving, but in the tank in my boot I can clearly see in the bottom of it and it's just not there! In the summer I run the diesel in the boot tank, and Veg in the main tank, and reverse this in winter. I've not seen it happen in the boot tank with either veg or derv, and both fuels get TSO in small quantities, as well as 2-EHN - if bothering with a cetane booster, just buy 2-EHN.
Millers is very good and I'd expect nothing less from them, but all the fuel cleaners/boosters use 2-EHN, so just cut out the middlemen and buy it direct from someone like Trinity fuels.
As said above, if diesel specialists like DieselBob are recommending TSO, then I can't see a problem.
I know we've had this discussion before though Turboman
I might try a few litres of petrol in tank and see how it runs during and afterBTW Forgot!
Anyone who just wants injector cleaning on an older pre TD5 vehicle, putting a gallon of petrol in the tank is as good as injector cleaner.
