That's interesting Tony, I don't have that bulletin, I wonder what it does? Certainly it has not been done properly in the photo.See Land rover service bulletin. NRR/86/14/95/EN. Dated 04/10/95. Reference battery drain (diesel versions only). Fit resistor kit STC3182 to diagnostic socket.

Thanks for the link Ant but it will not open?As attached....
I want to know how adding a resistor to one of the OBD lines is going to affect battery drain?Don't know Keith, dragged it from deep memory. Kit is still listed by Rimmers although out of stock. £6.17 including the dreaded. Bit steep for a resistor. It maybe the biggest markup item in Land rover history. Beating the small left and right rear brake pipes by some margin.
Opps - Sorry Keith...I want to know how adding a resistor to one of the OBD lines is going to affect battery drain?
If I could download Ant's PDF I would be interested to have a look
does any one have a picture of the flywheel on a p38 .25.dt so i can see what the crank pick looks like
Thanks Ant, when I get a moment I will see what that affects.Opps - Sorry Keith...
