yes i rember those fitted to the old tractors when i was a kid ,no they dont have excess fuel button on landy pumps,just use the glow plugs
diesel 2.25 valve clearances ???

just a thought have you got a butterfly in inlet for the servo ,if you have is it opening properly

theres no butterfly and ill get some pics of the smoke tomorrow if me doris would be so kind to take the pics as i fly up the street with it 
with the tappits if they have been left unadjusted for some time then they hammer the valves and mushroom them as well as getting an imprint on the rockers .. can make it near impossible to set.. had to change all of mine.. and needed to take the head into workshop as could not get valves out due to the mushrooming
