Hi guys just a quicky..

No dash dial lights on defender. Has a switch but no power going to it.

Previous owner had a seperate switch for side lights and rears put on centre pod.

Just wondering is there a way i can wire the dial lights to come on when using that switch? And which wires i connect to. The silver toggle does rear/sides.

Thanks in advance.

Poor thing looks like its been hacked about a bit in its previous life!!

Entirely possible that somewhere along the line the power supply to the dial lights has been cut off

Thought that may be the case. Just wondered where i would connect a new wire from the toggle switch to.

I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago ie no dial lights. It was an easy fix, the fuse had jumped out. Suggest you have a quick look at that if you havent already done so.

They are the glass fuses. The one for the the dash/curtesy light is intact. I figured the original switch used to be connected to the light stalk somehow and only worked if lights were on.. but as the side light/rear lights are now on the dash pod switch, and the stalk only does dipped and full beam headlights. That may be why the switch dont work anymore?

Was wondering if i can spur of the new sidelight switch so instrument light comes on when side/rear lights are turned on.
