Deluge of L Series F1s for sale

There is a deluge of L Series Freelanders for sale in New Zealand at the moment. Often there's none for sale, at the moment there's 4, but they're all priced between $5,000 and $6,000 - that's roughly £2,500. I paid $7,200 for ours 5 years ago with less than 100K KMs on the clock. Hold their value well Freelander's in NZ.

lol. There are some, they're just the diesels. There's a 1.8 3 door that looks like it was bought new with every option ticked currently going for $5K - looks really nice - even with the body kit! But for $5K you might as well get a good 'un

There was an L Series doer-upper listed on Friday night for $900. I saw it on Monday morning, after a heads up from HTR, but by the time I'd seen it and called him he'd already given first refusal to someone who was going round Tuesday evening. He wouldn't entertain me coming round then with the dollars - typical to find an ethical seller when you don't want to!

Is it a seasonal thing.
