I used to use old engine oil in my 300 - just filtered it and it ran great with a 50%mix of diesel with it

no one is questioning the facts that a diesel will run on it - am just seeking clarification as to it's legality

peeps reading this might just assume it's fine - until they get dipped

There are a lot of small metal particles in UMO ,do you really want that going thru a close tolerance injector pump and injectors?

to save peeps readings the entire thread this is his comment that i'm asking for some clarification on

i've asked him for details of his centrifuge
costs of his lab testing
and some official text which defines engine oil has being an allowable fuel (IE duty free) under the 2500l allowance

lots of people have access to engine oils so am sure this would be very handy info

Apologies Sheep, but you are outside my circle of trust.......:lvkiss-106:

what's trust got to do with anything - if what you are doing is legal, isn't harmful to the engine and helps save people money why not share your knowledge ?

pretending to PM people with info on your "experiments" isn't doing anything for your credibility here

I do share my knowledge with friends and people that are interested.

I don't regard you as a friend or an interested person...
Don't worry about my credibility sheep, it's perfectly intact...

Stop acting like a child, its a forum, either join in and share your knowledge or bugger off..if everyone had your petulant attitude there would be no forum, no help and no point.

You've had your 15mins of fame, now put up or shut up.

Was I out for them 15 minutes?

If old engine oil used as a fuel in a diesel engine for road use was legal I am sure we would have all heard of it buy now.

I would not put much in or to regularly in a engine I wanted to last.
I have been running a Lister generator on waste engine oil for 2000 hours and it has worn out two sets of piston rings and a cylinder barrel.
When burning engine oil it produces a fine ash which is abrasive.

there's about 30,000 people on this forum who are interested, if your head wasn't so far up your own arse you'd realize that all i'm seeking is clarification as the the legality of using engine oils in the manner you are suggesting - if you can't prove it's legal then so be it, but don't be giving people the impression that they can pour engine oils into their tank with zero consequence

and yes i agree your credibility is perfectly intact
