Hi I am thinking of changing the tyres on my defender td5 I am looking at Cooper discoverer stt 265/75/16 on boost wheels can anybody tell me if they will fit straight on or if I will have trouble. will this size wheel and tyre be too big to fit on the rear door.

You will have trouble ;)
 
They will fit mate but you might have to adjust the lock stops!
What size are you on now 235/85s?
 
We have had this thread before. Yes, they fit:

But would not recommend it as it has cracked the door across under the window on mine.
 
Hi I bf Goodrich all terrains on it now 235/70/16 would the spare be a lot heaverer with 265/75/16
 
Thanks I was told that the spare had to be the same size because if not it would rotate at different speed messing up 4x4 systerm and the width is a percentage of the wall if that make sence?

Makes sense, hence the radius has the to be the same. That is why cars can still have those crappy space saving tyres.

So you can have other combinations of sizes, as long as the radius is the same.

Yeah but that's what you diffs for;)
Wouldn't be pleasant or legal probably to have different radius but different width should at least be legal as a temporary measure like those skinny space saver tyres
 
Yeah think I'm going to orders 5 cooper stt and hope the spare fit on the rear door with out to much grief.
