Made my own by drilling and tapping the bottom plate to fit grease nipple.Did this mod years ago when replacing joint. Well worth it as only just done joint again after some 15 years
Get rid of it entirely and fit this.

On a personal note I don't mind the drop arm or it's ball joint. In fact I quite like them.Yep. Though does include an HD steering bar and youll never have to buy that stupid ball joint again.

They really are quite simple to do.
Now I replaced mine years ago with that blue bag type.
I thought it was pretty good mind I did have a complaint.
The rubber dust cover was crap and I had to replace it with a decent one - but apart from that -
Not wanting to start trouble but why did Land Rover make the Disco and Defender one different?
Is one stronger than the other? if that is the case then it has to be the Defender one that is stonger.
I mean - I own a Defender so it has to be!!!
But you have replaced a ball joint with a ball joint, which will need replacing at some point, providing you can get one that fits.
