So having a 300 tdi 1994 for around 6 yrs we decided to rebuild chassis up (galvanised one purchased and decided to put td5 axles on) what would we run ? So we purchased a 2010. Puma in need of tlc deal done I’ve heard bout rust issues with this model so started to clean treat rust and thought the bulk heads seem to suffer dash removed and I’m not surprised these suffer with tin worm very little paint no wax oil whatsoever?? So just a heads up if any of you guys has bought one for an investment or simply to enjoy the most iconic vehicle Landrover has built go look don’t wait I know some will say galvanise it but I’m no mechanic and how far do u go on a car 9 yr old car with just 22000 genuine miles I also have 54 plate td5 pick up that’s done over 300000” and the chassis is mint a hauler owned it and must have wax oiled it relentlessly so get power wash out and get wax oil it (car) you’ll save money in long run

Get some pictures loaded ;)
I’ll have a go but my first computer was an abacus so apologise as we’re not great with this how do I add a photo? Or photos? I could ask
Kids or grandchildren but kids been waiting for that response (let me show u how lol ) and mi grandchildren think I can do anything possible bless em

Ok noted rust issues external yeah ? I’m not pulling this brand down I’m only trying to say that with cost of buying a “mint defender “ puma have A good look the bulk head on my 2 owner 300 is better than my td5 and puma all I’m saying is to those guys out there that have got to where they wanted to protect ur vehicle so wind ur neck in key board warrior

So it’s almost there few bits to do but it’s on road now bearing in mind I’ve drove the td5 and had my trusty 300 for last 5years ivy wife’s car who we’re about to strip and place on a new galvanised chassis . So the drive ? Good drives more like a car ! Power it’s quicker than any other defender I’ve drove . The cars done under 40k so is tight gear shift wise it’s the only criticism I’ve got and maybe more my fault first gear ? Ur not in it long

Looking good, especially when you look at the damage.

Worth knowing about the rust issue on the later defenders. My 1989 ninety is on its original chassis. I can’t think there will be many of the puma ones with the same when they’re that age.

I've seen that silver 110 shell, they ship them to America where they drop them on their old chassis,so basically a new Defender.
Bull Dog 4x4 Manchester...

I wonder where they are getting them from.

l can’t imagine Land Rover would have just shut down the production lines leaving part finished Defenders half way through.

A search for “Bull Dog 4x4 Manchester” brings up a scrap metal dealer, a security product from Halfords, and Bulldog puppies for sale
