ok that is the top of the PTO gearbox, the threaded bar appears to be the end of the cable, it slides in and out freely, but to me the metal bracket should push / pull the steel pin (in centre of photo.....should these two things not be attached?,,,,steel rod/ pin is stuck fast

BAGGYJIM!!!!! WHAT A STAR!! Just had a go with the molies, now its free!!!! cable is snapped, and has disconnected!! just need new cable and a bolt, least i can drive the beast again!!!!!
