Ok, as most of you know i own a 2003 freelander and am wanting to upgrade to something that can with stand alot more 'fun' stuff...

I am thinking, i really love the defender, but have always had discos n like them too (our def was a 110 commercial n didnt do much off road stuff).

So..... although i am prob gonna have to wait til easter i am looking at whats available and cant make my mind up..

I know disco prob easy to modify??:confused:

But what is really best off road?

Im not talking accross antartica or desert but that will go most places with a few added extra's...

I am leaving it upto the vote!! :eek:

I am going to keep this going as long as i can then add em up, YOU CHOOSE!!
 
not that much in it really is there?
the disco is good on and off road, and very comfy with loads of space, would easily do 70mph on the motor way,

the defender is good off road but not great at speeds an would probly shake ya fillings out above 70mph.

well thats what everyone i speak to who has one says anyway:rolleyes:


but i still want a 90:D
 
well, i dont do much long distance but maybe when i do i might regret a def?
i just cant make my mind up!!
have seen some very nice options of both......
 
defender is probably better off road but the discovery is pretty good from what I have seen and certainly easier to live with day to day ... if I could afford two (watch this space - plans afoot) then I would have a toy for off road and keep the discovery on road but if you have to have one vehicle then think about what it will spend most of its time doing.. ie ferrying the kids about, picking up the shopping etc etc...
 
If you're talking older vehicles and/or long term ownership it has to be a defender due to the problems with rust eventually becoming too much hassle on a disco. I know defenders rust but everything is so much easier to repair or replace.
 
90 all the way , the older the better, i go to some reet posh affairs im me series 2a pickup , dunt matter what yer drive when its the worlds best vehicle
