Bit of a spending spree this weekend, new Wipac lights, standard and not LED just wanted to keep it looking standard. Some crystal headlamps and boomslang headlamp loom on its way. New deep lock rear door catch (puma style) and lock hole finisher, very pleased with how it looks. Front grille kit partly fitted just waiting for headlamp fixing kit. Looking more complete by the day. Bad news is that I cant get seat base refurb kit as Exmoor dont do the material thats in my landy grrrrrr, so will have to dig deep and refurb all theee seats ££££ never mind will look great once done. Any suggestions on which seat kit to get ? I’m thinking of the denim twill as its very close to what was in from factory.

Productive week so far, rear door seal fitted, headlamps are in, front grille on, new wheels scotch paded and painted Charlton white to match the roof. Emailed Exmoor trim with a my wish list, twill seat cover kit, center seat kit and front premium carpet kit just waiting for a reply from Jake in sales to see if there’s any discount to be had ? I was always taught if you dont ask you dont get, and sometimes even if you ask very nicely you still dont get ! 😂

Very pleased with how the wheels have turned out, despite it being a rush job after coming home from work this evening.
I’ll have to leave them for a few weeks before ordering some tyres, not just to let the paint fully harden but to stop Mrs H giving me a hard time with the spending just before Christmas. 😂

SITREP ….. carpet kit has arrived…… I can only estimate that the bag it came in must cost £10-£15. No skimping on quality here

Carpet kit fitted and looking cushty. Next on the hit list roof lining, stripped and washed the vinyl covering with carpet cleaner. Dried out the soggy damp cardboard backing. Then temporarily strengthened with some timber to get its shape. Soaked it with diluted PVA, them once dry gave both surfaces a good coating of castamite wood glue. The some car body filler to smooth out the cracks. Once dry I plan on fiberglassing it with finishing tissue and resin before spray glue the vinyl back on. I may fibreglass the top side as well if it still feels flimsy or not.

it doesnt look as rippley now that the resin is drying off, if it shows through the vinly i may have to stick a very thin backing sponge lining on first think they sell it in Dunelms

Head lining glued back onto the fiberglassed backing, looks passable from a distance 😂

Fit and test head unit, then re pack for santa
Re open head unit that santa bought and refit 🎅
Fit front headliner
Re trim driver and passenger seats
Fit said seats not forgetting the spacers between carpet and bases
Repair and retrim rear headliner may need pva’ing
Make new rear door card (found a length of black hardboard 8’ long in city plumbing for £4.20 enough to make 3 cards !
Make and fit rear door gas strut
Look at the seal on near side rear axle (weeping slightly) dont want the new rins getting oily now
Plumb in the number plate light
Order either tyres or Nas bar? Thats my back pay bonus gone to a good cause
Look at which front bumper to get ? Dilema ? May create a proxy vote on here to decide
Think thats it … should be ready by easter 😂

You jammy bugger! I've also got 10 days off. If I can get 5 clear hours to myself in that time i'll be lucky. You get stuck in and I'll just get my land rover fix from hearing about your progress. Good luck! 👍
