now... you have the wrong box for that engine.
Yes all bolts should go in without any problems
If you change to that bell housing you input shaft is too short.
if you change to the later box you will need to move the engine,exhaust etc

It’s best to change the gear box.I do respect my elders mate just wouldn’t mind some actual help instead of a pointless comment typical keyboard warrior.
Thank you for the reply. What would you recommend the best thing to do would be. I’m taking the engine out anyway so I can take it all out and then replace or do what’s needed. What would you say is the best option ?

So price up for new box & ring that bolts on the engine...(One of the oldies may give you the correct name)
pop round to harfords 4c4 see if they can help with a bit of knowledge
@Harry121 , you have a couple of logical options but this depends upon condition of the Land Rover and how much money you'd like to plough in. Logically, the best option would be to base the repairs around the 300tdi engine rather than the LT77 gearbox [and as @Hicap phill confirms, try to fudge it and there's a mass of other associated parts to faff around with]. Therefore, simply change gearboxes from the existing LT77 to a correctly spec'd R380 [bell housing/clutch/gear ratios], job done. The good news is that rebuilt R380's are readily available plus they're tougher units than LT77's. If your Land Rover is a long term keeper and budget permits it would be worth buying a properly rebuilt warranted unit from a number recognised gearbox specialists; it doesn't have to be Ashcroft Transmissions. Use the LZ search function for good/known transmission houses. And look at giving the transfer box and hand brake a good serving whilst there. Good luck

Why not just change the engine mounts? For the sake of a few quid this would be easier than the cost of gearboxes & other works.

Take a picture of what you thing is brokem.Hopefully you can see the photo someone sent me this ? Is that what you are on about with the engine mounts

The attached is a bracket not a rubber mount which I thought was broken.
