Hi I have bought a 1989 Defender with 300tdi conversion. It has old type of clutch pedal. I have read several online threads about installing a remote clutch servo to make clutch operation lighter, but I have no mechanical experience at all. Please contact me if anyone could install a clutch servo on my Landy please, in the Sandwell West Midlands area. Thanks

If it has the old style pressed metal pedal or the newer style single bar pedal but with the traditional return spring the first thing I would do if fit the new style pedal flat bar pedal and the newer style return spring (below). this makes the pedal lighter and is much easier and less involved than a servo. If once you have done this the clutch is still too heavy then look into a servo kit which a couple of members here have done and have write up threads on.
