so I can use my current gearbox lt77 from disco and transfer to defender?
Nope. The disco LT77 has a bellhousing and input shaft that's about a foot longer than the defender one. You do hear of people fitting them in defenders but the gearsticks will want to come up where the middle seat should be.I can only assume you'd have problems with the length of the propshafts too. Pretty stupid mod really.

mine has a disco box and i find the gearstick is in the perfect place for me. Had to shorten the rear prop by about 3 or 4 inches i think and obviously a longer front one!
If in a hybrid its not so bad as it wont look out of place and disco boxes are more common and cheaper.
If in a tidy standard motor then no i wouldnt as it would look odd and you would have no cubby box/centreseat as you say.
But I love mine as it is! But then mine is by no means standard!

Right Tig9619 thanks so galnasised Chassis 90 with defender gearbox and my disco 200tdi engine and then use series body (Alunminum) and windscreen and hardtop from series and presto! right okay one question if use series windscreen mean can lower the windscreen on to bonnet and roof off and become topless correct but one question storkel attach to what???

Early 90's and 110s have foldable windscreen.

Mine does. And galvanised body cappings.

And then you get a slightly taller windscreen (helps if your tall)

Attach the snorkel to the windscreen surround, but insert a flexi section in it. Make one yourself, have it exactly as you want!
