Other than indicators all the others are just direct replacement plug and play.Often not a case of just swapping over units. Oh and hello to the forum.
Thanks for the reply and the welcome mate. I’m having my local specialist fit them whilst it’s having other items getting ready for MOT. The previous owner was a DIY electrician so that’s why I’m not attempting it lolSo many questions on here about LED lights not working with Landys.
I will say if you know your electrics then give it a go. If electrics not your thing then pass. Often not a case of just swapping over units. Oh and hello to the forum.
Thanks for the heads up ref indicators, I’ll 100% check that out.Other than indicators all the others are just direct replacement plug and play.
I fitted RDX LED side, rear and fog lights to mine during the rebuild. I left the indicators as standard due to the endless threads of people fitting LEDS and them not working.
Thanks for the reply, I was debating if to go round or rectangle on the fog/reverse as I was unsure if circle would fit due to the near rear 1/4. Where is the best place to buy RDX.I fitted Rdx kit as well. Changed the side repeater to TD5 style( they do a fitting adapter)
Needed the Rdx dash tell tale light for the system to work
Also change the rear fog & reverse light to the normal rectangle style from britpart. These have lasted and are also LED
Thanks for the heads up mate, I’ll have a Google of the LED/Cob bulb. Not sure what cob is lol.I would suggest you but an LED/COB bulb and see if that works first ...
As said side lights etc are normally not an issue with LED (normally not an issue, but can be).
The std bulbs are BA12 so any BA15 LED/COB variant will fit (and hopefully work).
eBay/Amazon/Temu are your friends.
Keep the rectangular fog lights, looks better on an older defender in my opinion. I got my RDX ones from bolt on bits on ebay. They definitely do the clear lenses (I am also not a fan of them, keep it original looking) so there may well be smoked versions.Where is the best place to buy RDX.
Cheers Dag, I will have a gander at bolt on bits. I personally am not a fan of the clear either, original or smoked are my preferred choice.Keep the rectangular fog lights, looks better on an older defender in my opinion.
