Defender 5th wheel

Yep used to be one at ascot race course.

appeared to be a normal LR but with a 5th wheel on the chassis on a frame and air brake hook ups was cool tbh
 
It was used to tow the starting blocks around...not sure if it was road legal for towing though but was driven between courses...

I believe it was race tech who had them built but can't find much on them I have the full air set as well so hopefully can build my 110 similar to them
 
Think there road legal as they have full electrics and air brake set up
Guess it would depend. Not sure if you can get them replated, else they would be subject to the standard vehicles max rear axle weight, gross vehicle weight and tow rating.

I’d also suggest as it is such a major modification that isn’t type approved some kind of inspection and specific insurance would also be advised.
