Thought I'd start this thread about the quirks of the Defender, namely the 300 TDI one.
1. Stored Defender for several months, battery disconnected. Reconnect battery, I find the immobilizer isn't doing its job ie I can start the thing with the keys and no need to dongle the immobilizer to get it to start.
After it's connected up for a while the immobilizer decides it is time to work and does its job.
2. Similar story with the heater. Fails to work after a few months stored. Decides to work after being drived about for a few hundred miles.
