Wired these lights in, 30amp relay

Can I suggest you relocate that relay, rain water will be blasted at it when driving, to make matters worse the relay is facing the open side, so to speak, side directly towards the water spray.
 
I'm going to be adding some wading mods soon due to all this flooding.

So will be extending the axle breathers, and fitting snorkel. Iv also ordered the fixed plugs for the bell housings etc. I understand it's not best practice to leave the fixed plugs in, so for permanent solution that won't require work to let the car wade can I not get holes drilled in the fixed plugs then I seal some tube and extend like the axle breathers, that way they can be left in all the time?
 
Does anyone know the thread sizes for the gearbox and timing case breathing holes? Something bsp I think
 
Relocated the relay after taking that blokes advice. Also replaced it with one that's fused..

Also a Timing belt case breather kit, a genuine rocker cover gasket, some landrover sealant, and a 5 way manifold for the breather pipes

Heres an idea im using for the timing case breather hole, and the transmission case breather, they are pneumatic air hose bleeders with the correct bsp thread for the breather holes

The idea behind these is I can leave them open in times when I know im not going to be driving through water e.g not now lol, and close them up for wet flood times. Means I don't have to faff around removing fixed ones with a spanner and can loosen them to drain water or residue build ups with my hands any time easily, they basically act like taps.

Im replacing the rocker and inlet gaskets at the weekend so hopefully some better updates then
 
So I do around 4k a year in my play land rover. Could I leave the wading plugs in all the time and just take em out once a year at oil change time? Or is that a bad idea?
 
Well in an ideal world youd leave em out all the time as they are there for a reason, but some of the guys in here think it should be ok just to take them out on your 6k service to let any crap out so id have thought you should be fine? I have read stories mind of people getting water in the clutch through the mating faces even when the wading plugs are in then you are left stuck with a slipping clutch!

Ouch unlucky, that looks nasty, could've been a lot worse so you've been fortunate mate.

How is it when ever we sustain an injury, us blokes can't help but taking pictures of our war wounds.?!! :D

So before I wrap I need to sort out any rust on door frames. I have a new rear door as per earlier in the thread. The passenger door needs a slight repair, and the drivers is good so set about treating it before it does rust.

First off, Strip it down and apply rust treatment paint

I'd also ordered some 51mm silicon hose, to replace the pretty rubbish oem rubber ones, that were showing signs of splitting. They just need cutting down to size..

Rather than wait for my mates workshop to become free and doing it all in one go, I decided to remove panels I can and do them off the car one by one, then finish off the rest at his place.

Liking the vinyl wrap mate, is it difficult to do? How much you pricing to do the lot? My fear would be the rear tub capping, lots of different shapes and curves, everything else is pretty straight and flat
