Please can someone help me? My wiring is driving me mad!* I am a complete novice so it may be a simple solution where my inexperience has got the better of me I certainly hope so J
Ok here is the problem:
When the driving lights are TURNED OFF, upon breaking, the near side the break light illuminates but only through a single filament (the off side light illuminates through both filaments)
When the driving lights are TURNED OFF, the near side light illuminates until I press the break.* While the break is pressed, rather than the second filament turning on the near side light just goes out completely.* Note that under these circumstances, breaking with the driving lights turned on, both filaments in the off side light are illuminated.
I have had the unit replaced and it is wired up as per the instructions.*
Our defender has been modified to be an overland vehicle by the previous owner and when this was done it was given a recreational battery for interior/exterior lighting and 12 volt plugs all over the place so I am assuming that the somewhere along the line, the original wiring has been tinkered with.* *
So in order for me to fix this problem I could really do with some help from someone who might know what is causing these symptoms.
Any help will be gratefully received thanks J
