Defender 110 ex utility.

Hi. Im new to this site so please bear with me. Sorry if this has been covered or im in the wrong section but not quite sussed how to get around the site yet. So I have an ex utility defender 110 with the roller shutter doors and an extra storage area on the passenger side behind the pssenger door and towards the bottom of the car. However the catch has broken and i cant seem to find a way to get in. Any ideas from anyone. Ill try and attach a photo if it helps. Also while here i was mending the drivers side lock the other day and after getting into the door, card off etc, i saw that the steel was crack, right along where people generally shove with their arm to open the door. Is this worth fixing or is it something thats fairly common due to how folks open the doors!!!???? Thanks
