Defender 110 ABS light and Hand Brake warning light on dash

I'm pretty certain that when I save the data on the old unit, and the super scan tells you to switch units, it transfers more than just the chassis number. Maybe someone in here could confirm this.
I'm going to speak with a landrover tech later who might be able to confirm this. I'll let you know. If you find the problem on yours please post the fix and I'll do the same
Did you manage to sort it out, just sent the new pump back to see if any faults.
 
with the plug disconnected the led should not be lit as the ABS fault light is grounded by the ABS unit and the same with the hand brake/brake fluid level warning lamp is grounded by either switch .
the feed to the led's is via this plug C0230-1 so I would suspect the Smiths instrument panel circuit board

Hi Mystery. Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. I have suspected the dash for a while. If your wiring diagram is accurate to this vehicle which I think it is yesterday I disconnected the wire in position 14 B/W Handbrake low brake fluid. The rest of the plug was connected. The light remained on. The only way the light went out was if I disconnected the wire in position 1 WG Ignition supply.
I can make the the warning wires go out and back on with my diagnostic tool through the diagnostic socket. I'm using Dec superscan 2.
My dash insert is the type with the warning lights on a printed circuit board using LED's. Any more info you can me would be very much appreciated.

the diagram is from the RAVE discs as can be seen shows bulb indicators the led uses the same inputs but the printed circuit board contains electronic components to accommodate the LED's .if you use make a lead with a fuse and 12v lamp in circuit and connect to C0230-1 and C0230-14 the lamp should not light with the hand brake off but should with hand brake on or fluid level switch activated ,this will confirm that the problem is the panel .
connect to C0230-1 and C0230-7 if the lamp is off then the ABS module is not indicating a fault so again would suspect the panel .
not sure how easy it is to gain excess to the printed circuit board to visually check for signs of component failure ,corrosion ,dry joint .if you do gain access to PCB some good images would help greatly for future reference .
attached someones image of PCB but not of good quality and ignore labelling will give you some idea of what to expect

That is so helpful. Thanks you very much for that. I have looked at the printed circuit board with a magnifying glass but cant see any breaks etc. All the joints look good. Something definitely happened when it was jumped started as the ABS ecu was damaged. Maybe something got damaged on this panel too. I will do what you suggest this morning and report back. Once again thanks for your time.
 
So, With the printed circuit board disconnected, both wiring plugs.
I connected a bulb to Pin 1 and 14. The bulb lit up with the handbrake off. The switch on the handbrake is definitely working. The brake fluid level switch is in also working.
I connected Pin 1 and Pin 7 in the same way Abs light lit up. It looks as though the dash circuit is Ok and is indeed receiving a signal from ABS ecu to put the light on.
Do you know much about the coding of the ABS ecu? Could it be that the new unit is not coded properly? The chassis number is in the new unit and is correct but does it need anything else from the original unit.
It has no fault codes stored.

I did see that a few days ago. This is what makes me think the new unit isn't coded correctly or is the wrong unit. At the bottom of the page in the reasons for handbrake light ' if it's a new unit' . I guess I need someone with genuine landrover kit to be sure.
