Defeder TD5 starting problems

Hi all, New to the forum and would like some help with my Defender 90TD5. It has started giving me problems when starting. Fuel pump runs longer than I remember and it takes 3 maybe 4 turns to position 2 to get it to start. Changed the filter today as its cheap and needed doing anyway, but no change. Is it just the fuel pump that is on its way out or is it something else. Also pump makes a gurgling noise when first started. Engine runs fine when it has started and smooth acceleration. Any ideas gratefully recieved.

Do a search for fook sakes.............. Been covered 100's of times this time of year. Check you glow plugs first. most common cause for hard starting on cold weather.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: Newbiees
