Def Td5 Clutch Push Rod Fitting

So trying to sort the 110s clutch issues today. However when I removed the slave last week the push rod came with it.

Any suggestions on how to get it back in? Feels like the bush is too small for the rod.

Am I trying to force it into the bush from the front? Then when home the slave goes on
