Can you explain to me why my insurance is 40% cheaper with another company even tho i have a no claim history over a few years with you as a previous customer.....

...........:censored:

If you PM me your policy number so I can look in to it.

ETA

Have you spoken to the renewals department about it yet, providing them with the details of the quotation?

Would be nice if insurance companies could come up with the best price, first time. Especially for existing customers. Rather than price matching...

I appreciate it may be frustrating that you need to effectively ''haggle'' for a renewal in some cases, but especially in our case, as a broker the premiums are dictated to us by the underwriters. We do have the facility to reduce our comission levels should a client have had a better rate, but unless we are made aware of the best prices people are given and the cover they've been offered, we are unable to do so.

You look at most big tickert things sold these days, cars, tvs, appliances, and furniture........ They give you a price and if you bitch about it and you say so&so has it cheaper and you show them they match..... just business

Haggling makes a business deal that little bit more interesting. Maybe its cos we have half of Europe living over here now, that we are having to haggle, cos they likes a bit of the haggling..

I appreciate what you saying, and the following I am about to write is not flux related.

My van fleet insurance came up for renewal, the first year I had 0 no claims, came up for renewal and had gained 1 year 'motor fleet experiance' as its known.
My premium was 3500 more expensive, now I appreciate I had added another van on to my policy. I rang around and got a better price.
So rang my broker back and asked them to send me my proof of experiance. And funnily enough they suddenly had a better price, £3500 cheaper!!!!

How do you just knock £3500 off a policy?

My Disco was group 17 or so the insurance company told me.
When I changed to a very low group Saxo diesel my premium trippled:eek:

I'm a flux customer for many years possibly 6 or 7 plus 8 years or so no claims but my policy sky rocketed. I have already had a quote for when it runs out. I did haggle last time and was told no they can't do anything so although I would have saved £30 after changing I never did as it was alot of hassel. Now the policy has gone up this year I think I'll be heading to carol nash or to endsleigh for a quote as they have been promising wilst dealing with somthing else they said the would be more competative.

Jai,

If you send me your policy number I'll have a look into it for you, also if another insurer has beaten our price, let me know the details and I'll pass this on as well and try to get your renewal cheaper with us this year.

Regards,

Ed

yep,i save quite a few hundred pounds and as a business user i would expect the insurance company's to be cheaper as we know how to drive not like the weekend warriors in there mud wagons that dont care and bash em up...

if you leave your wagon on the drive for 3 weeks on end and its a hobby the insurance should be higher than a user that works day in day out because those that only drive once or maybe twice a month are far more dangerous due to there lack of knowledge on daily use .

I've been with Adrian flux for nearly 15 years.

Whenever my renewal comes up I ring around, I was in a modified car origionally so flux were always the cheapest anyway then but when I've got a cheaper quote they have always matched it.

Had a few incidents as well and there service has always been good.

The only thing they don't seem to do is multicar or dealer type policies.

I would like to cover our small fleet with one policy between me and the missus and not have to keep changing the policy if I buy another car.
