Real moral of the story... Don't ever forget the golden rule of dealing with fuel starvation... NEVER assume there is fuel in the tank, even if the gauge says so...

Considering the tank is rated at 90 litres capacity. Sounds like you had definitely run out of fuel then.

Dunno. There's a filling station near me that seems to result in 2 litres for tank and one litre for me cacks, shoes & forecourt. Why does that happen with some pumps?

For best results i always find it better to place nozzle in tank filler neck before pulling trigger.
