Dead height sensor or not?

The tongue of the rubber bit goes right into the radius arm mount, I will have to cut it where it goes in and try then to free it from the radius arm. I'll have a look tomorrow if it's not still ****ing down.
Wammers, both sides look the same, am I correct in that? Left side is easier to get at for me.

I might be barking up the wrong tree or barking mad, but what about some heat?

Would heating the "bracket" free the rubber thingy?

Just an idea.

Heat will sort it, you will be able to brush up the ashes after.

Will be same item Keith kitchen knife with a serrated blade maybe easiest way to free it. Easier to keep flush against the radius arm than a hacksaw blade. Then you will have to lube it a little possibly to get it off the arm.

So, I have the part off, a sharp wood chisel and a few taps with a hammer did it. It seems to be a part of the rubber mount for the radius arm, so I had to cut it flush with the edge of the rubber mount. Plenty left to bond it to the radius arm though. I've left the link in it as it was easier to part the link joint than remove the link.
Personally I would bond it on with fibreglass resin or you could try Gorilla Glue. I can't see that a jubilee clip will hold it without allowing it to flex at the pivot.
Let me know how you wish to proceed.
I can do a photo of what I have if it would help.

And now a question. Am I right in thinking that the radius arms are made from cast iron?

If so, can cast iron be safely drilled and tapped?

The Radius arm is a composite material, on NO ACCOUNT should it be drilled unless you want to wave good bye to your axle when the radius arm breaks.
Bonding the rubber to the radius arm is the way to do it, add a jubilee clip to hold while the glue sets and leave it in place for security if you wish.
Postage according the La Poste is 12,15, if I ad packaging and the drive to the post office, 20 in total would cover it?
