sounds great , hopefully can have my son , daughter in law and my grandson with me

think I may have to get a trailer this time , lol

plus the date is ideal , my wife passed away on the 25th June and will be nice to spend that day with a great bunch of friends, hope that doesn't come across wrong

Its illegal to carry your relis in a trailer, mate! ;) :D
Might have to bring mine, been trying to persuade Mart we should bring his Minerva up for the event, but he says it only does about 35 mph. It would go faster than that on the back of my Disco! :)

Sorry to hear about yer missus! :(

thks mate was in 2013 , it's her birthday tommorow the 17th August , on the 25th I would only be shut away at home and will be nice to spend that day with good mates and family ,

also introduce young Finley to the Land Rover world , show him what real land rovers should look like

dam and there was me going to fit seats in it as well, with the old fashioned motorbike goggles , but the dogs of course will be tucked up on the back seat of the car ;):)

only need a small trailer as it was a squeeze with just my son , dogs and I last time , plus if my daughter in law comes , that's bound to be a suitcase required for each day , lol

Shame, as it happens my neighbours mum died on the same day, but that was about twenty years ago.

Often been tempted to put the cattle float on when I have had to pick up numbers! :D Easy to wash out if they spew on their way home from the pub! ;)
And my sds take enough kit for an assault on Everest, even for an overnight! :(

sorry mate to hear that , must admit I never want to experiance that period again as lost a dear family friend , then the following week lost my sister In law then my wife week after

great idea about the cattle float, lol , save money and get some tie down straps for your passengers ;), could u imagine the look u would get going down the motorway with people strapped down like cargo, ;)

next year should be a lot better, I'm 50 , grandson will be one on the 27th June , daughter will be 30 , son 25 , daughter in law 21, then best of all my parents will be celebrating 60 years of marriage

plus note to self , not to pitch the tent next to the party marque again :D:D

Motorway! Nearest one is 200mile return trip from here, aint taking em that far unless they pay for the diesel! :D
Not a tent lover, although I will sleep in my trailer when I am working. I will book a hotel, wont be able to hear the marquee from there! ;)
And I hope it is a better year for you! :)

thks turbo , hope so too, don't see why not

lol, yep u won't hear it that's for sure ,

plus won't take my freelander round on the greenlaning trip this time

perfect opportunity to also try and grovel on bended knees with beer and cake as a slim chance to see if someone may possibly allow my son and I to come along as passengers who has a discovery 2 automatic , to see what they like off road

now that I've given up smoking started to put money away towards one , but will take me a while

would have to leave my dogs with my daughter in law on site, lol

may have to pay per cake and beer per mile ;);):)

D2 is ok off road, bit big and wallowy for my taste. Would be more than adequate for most lanes, though. Standard bodywork and bumpers would be the first thing to suffer, I would guess! :)

thks mate , want a bigger Land Rover, with the same features and comfort of my freelander , but know it will be slower and lower mpg , only do 2,000 miles a year

james my son and I want to get one so we can explore more , with a lot more room , an automatic due to my disability , 5 door etc , air and self levelling suspension , so I can lower and raise it to add me getting in and out of it , also for off road use age , fit a snorkel , winch etc

sorry am gassing again , lol

Well, that looks spot on to me!
Now, my old landy made it from Derbyshire to Edinburgh and back....the question is will it keep running until next June!? :D
