Thread gauges are available from good engineering suppliers or even off Ebay. What's Cilla got to do with it? Knew her long ago when she was Cilla White.
There's a union there instead of that bayonet thing you've got.
I removed the union, however, and measured the threads =>
I'm 99% sure it is a Whitworth thread - 1/4 inch
I need to find my UNC/F gauge to be 100% sure but I reckon the thread angle is 55 degrees not 60 (as it doesn't even get remotely close to the metric shapes on the other side of the gauge in the picture)
Either that is an earlier setup, and they moved on to the bayonet type. or else Bobsticles has been modded, possibly to accomodate the fuel pipe of a later vehicle.

Yes it seems that pump hasnt got the one way valve on it. I know when I took mine off the hole into the aluminium body was smaller than the hole into the valve, hence the adapter.
