There is a very very nice L322 on Piston Heads. It was a 03 4.4 V8 but has been converted by a company darn sarth to be exactly the same as a 2011 Autobiography. He is only asking 10k for it. Must've cost him more than that to do as the wheels alone were 3k worth.

Go for it ! :D

Would just cover the cost of the new gearbox:rolleyes:

Nah, I'm going to sit on my P38 a bit longer. I dreamt of owning one for too long. I wouldn't mind a L322 but it wasn't a L322 I was drooling over when the parents were moving us around in a Ford Granada.

Would just cover the cost of the new gearbox:rolleyes:

But what good is a new gearbox if you're driving on brake discs? :p

I'm sure datatek would feel smug in this , he would have enough electrical stuff to keep him going , when is his birthday :)
2011 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER 4.4 TDV8 VOGUE OVERFINCH DI | eBay

A black car with a black interior? Looks a bit grim. You want light seats. It looks so much nicer.

Don't think Keith is a drug dealer. That is bloody awful. Who would want to be seen driving around it that ridiculous looking heap? The wheel alone make you want to throw up. :D:D

A guy round the corner from me has an identical Overfinch to this. Not my cup of tea but each to their own I guess.

I like the early L322s. Non facelift and completely standard.

Yeah a mate of mine has one but not Overfinch. My lad borrowed it a few months ago and was in raptures about it. It is black with black leather, blacked out windows, was not impressed with it at all like getting into a dark cave. :D:D

Soulless domestic appliances are for soiled underpants. I want to drive a car I actually like.

One of the best things I have read on this forum :)

And I agree - my friends 2005 Mitsubishi Shogun is of course much more reliable than my 1995 P38, but the engine in noisy, it is cramped, the ride is awful, and most importantly of all, the interior is just nowhere near as nice a place to be.

A P38 (or L322) with decent breakdown cover is a much better option. Reliability is important, but it is not the only thing that matters.

And for those people who keep going on about Land Cruisers not Land Rovers driving into the outbback or the desert - you are right of course. When I am next looking for a car to drive into the desert, I will probably not choose a L/R.....

I have to say my Jap import Pajero was every bit as nice a place to be as the P38, full leather, headling that stayed in place, quiet and economical if a tad slow, the auto box worked perfectly as did the diff lock, never needed to carry diagnostics or fret about if it would throw a wobbly. Two batteries fitted as standard, one a dedicated starter battery the other for all the gizmo's. If I could have registered it no doubt I would still have it.:(
